DAY 01: Arrive in Kathmandu [1300 m / 4264 ft]
After arriving in Kathmandu, our representative will pick you up from the airport and take you to our hotel. Today we will have welcome dinner hosted by Phisense Holidays in order to introduce your guide and trip briefing.

DAY 02: Kathmandu: Sightseeing and Trek Preparation
Today we have full day for Kathmandu sightseeing. We will visit most of all world heritage sites in Kathmandu such as bouddhanath, Pashupatinath, Patan, Darbar square, Swoyambhunath. Evening walk around market.

DAY 03: Kathmandu to Pokhara or Flight optional [823m/2,700ft]: 6 hrs drive
Early morning drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara along with Trishuli River and reaches in stunning lake city Pokhara. We can have short sightseeing around popular Phewa Lake.

DAY 04: Fly to Jomsom & Trek to Kagbeni [2,858m/9,375ft]: 3-4 hrs
After 20 minute of scenic mountain flight, our trip will begin from Jomsom. The trail leads through bank of massive Kaligandaki River and reaches Kagbeni via Ekle Bhatti. During trek we encounter strong wind towards to the village every afternoon. The beautiful Kagbeni is known as gateway of autonomous Upper Mustang which is sacred place of Hindu people and also offers unique experience of Buddhism.

DAY 05: Kagbeni to chele [3050m/10,004ft]: 5-6 hrs
This is an easy and relax day of the trek. After breakfast we checked in our special and Conservation area permits then continue towards to white washed village called Tangbe. The village offers interesting Chortens of different colors such as black, white and red. Then we carry on towards to our final destination Chele passing by amazing landscape, natural caves and suspension bridge.

DAY 06: Chele to Syanbochen [3475m/11,398ft]: 6-7 hrs
Today we encounter some of challenging passes such as Taklam La 3624m, Dajori La 3735m, Bhena La 3624 m, Yamda La 3860m beautiful viewpoints and reaches to Syanbochen passing by another beautiful village Samar. We have great opportunity of avoiding trekking through the bumpy road and choosing alternative scenic trail which invites us exploring life time experience via breathtaking Chungsi Cave. The legend says Guru Ringpoche was meditated on this cave and we can see his footprint over here.

DAY 07: Syanbochen to Ghaymi [3520m/11,546ft]: 5-6 hrs
After ascending more or less 10 minute, the trek descends gradually towards to Ghiling village. We can have cup of tea/coffee break if you wish and explore surroundings. Then we encounter challenging ascending all the way to the 4025m pass. From the pass we can explore Nilgiri Himal and immense of bare rolling hills then the trail descends to Ghami. Ghami offers beautiful accommodation, apple pie, dramatic landscape, it’s unique color and rich cultural aspects.

DAY 08: Ghaymi to Tsarang [3500m/11,480ft]: 4-5 hrs
This is one of the most thrilling days of the trip. The trail continues short descends and crosses suspension bridge. After crossing suspension bridge we encounter steep ascending and let us explore the longest Mani wall in Mustang. Then the trail still continues ascending and reaches at the top of the ridge. The pass invites us stunning landscape and descends towards to Tsarang where we stay overnight. Tsarang is an interesting historical village of the region which offers amazing palace, museum along with ancient caves andmonasteries.

DAY 10: Tsarang to Lo-Mangthang
This is our final destination of the trek and capital of Upper Mustang. Trekkers will be greeted by spectacular natural and cultural treasure surroundings. Lo Mangtang still has King Palace and live king. The village is surrounded by ancient monasteries, stupas, chortens, museum, prayer wheels and prayer flags. Most of the trekkers spend at least 2 night or more as per their holiday and interest. Horse riding and exploring up to Tibet border put extra value on our journey.

DAY 11: Explore Lo-Manthang
Lo Mangthang is the main highlight of the entire trek of Upper Mustang which offers an amazing side trips including natural caves, monasteries and pure Buddhism. It is also known as little Tibet and let us similar experience of trekking in Tibet.

DAY 12: Lo-Mangthang to Drakmar [3810 m/12,500ft]: 6-7 hrs
After exploring unspoiled Tibetan tradition and culture, we will return back to Drakmar via alternative trail. On the way we will explore one of the oldest monastery of the Upper Mustang and continues to Drakmar for overnight.

DAY 13: Dhakmar to Ghiling [3806m/12,484ft]: 5-6 hrs.
We will return back same way which refresh our memory.

DAY 14: Ghiling to Chhuksang [3050m/10,004ft]: 5-6 hrs.
Return following the same route with rememorise your Mustang trip experience.

DAY 15: Chhuksang to Jomsom [2700/8,856ft]: 6-7 hrs. or via Muktinath.
There is another option you could combine Muktinath trip along with this way back rather than coming directly to Jomsom you could either chose coming back via Muktinath.

DAY 16: Fly to Pokhara and Then Fly to Kathmandu.
Today you will have flight from Jomsom then to Kathmandu, You could make flight difference if you would like to visit Pokhara for a while. And evening we will have farewell dinner. It is the way of sharing your trip experience with cultural program and have cheerful last for memories.

Day 18: Fly Home: Airport Drop and Final Departure.
Free until airport time, after that our representative will drop off to airport to connect your flight to home. Hope to see you soon!

Trip Information
Upper Mustang Trekking is opened for tourist since 1991 to trek. The landscape of Upper Mustang is barren moonscape of sandstone pillars and discontinuous moraine terraces which together present a colorful mosaic made up principally of an earthen brown, yellow and red. It is easy trekking along the permitted route to Lo Manthang which lies in the very heart of Mustang. The trek to Upper Mustang is through an almost treeless barren landscape and strong wind across the area in the afternoon. Being called “Upper Mustang” is rain shadow of the Himayaya of Nepal. In reality, this kingdom gets rain much less than rest places of Nepal.
Upper Mustang Trekking Restricted Area in Nepal can be quote in necessity of client’s desire. For an old and physically not fitness people Horse Riding Trekking will support you to complete the full Restricted Area of Mustang. The houses in Mustang are mostly made from stone and sun baked mud bricks. The city wall and the four storey palace in Lo-Manthang are some of the beautiful architectures of Mustang region. Another attraction in the Mustang region is the Tiji Festival influenced by Tibetan Buddhism, which is timed to coincide with the end of the dry season (late winter/spring). The Mustagi people have their own way of family life, which is quite surprising for many outsiders. All the brothers in the family are married to a single girl, what you may call a practice of polyandry.
